TEDxYOUTH

ISP Schools has organised the first global TEDxYouth event in Castellón with the participation of its 11 schools in Spain

British School of Vila-real hosted the 2nd edition of the global TEDxYouth event organised by ISP Schools, making it the first TEDxYouth Spain event in the province of Castellón. The 11 young representatives from ISP Schools in Spain shared in English topics, ideas, and experiences that related to the year´s theme of “Future Makers, World Changers.”

At ISP Schools, we prioritise learning learning and put it at the forefront of everything we do. We want to continually provide the best opportunities for our students and families. It is important to us that our students are also able to experience learning outside the classroom and connect with other students from ISP Schools, experiencing full linguistic immersion and developing their communication and leadership skills.

Following this vision, and as part of the ILOS International Learning Opportunities Programme we offer to students around the world, we organised a TEDxYouth event in which the 11 finalists of Spanish, Salvadorian, French-Algerian-Moroccan, Dutch, Swedish, Mexican, Mexican-American, Dutch, and Moroccan nationalities had the opportunity to give a 10-minute talk in front of a live audience on a topic that concerns, motivates, and excites them under the slogan “Future Makers, World Changers“. The event featured live musical and athletic performances by students from the British School of Vila-real and the participation of coach and mentor Jaime Chicheri, The White Belt Traveler.

TEDxYouth@BritishSchoolVilareal is an event for young people organised by young people. Its importance lies in the access to a global platform where students can connect with, influence, and inspire other young people. The programme maintains the spirit of TED events, focusing on the power of ideas to change lives, and ultimately, the world.

14 students from ISP Schools in Europe participated in the first TEDxYouth event organized by ISP Schools on March 16, 2022

The worldwide famous TEDxYouth event, where young people are the leaders, was held on the March 16th at International School AndalucíaFourteen students from ISP Schools were the speakers on the event´s topic ¨Young Voices, Big Ideas.¨

At the International Schools Partnership (ISP), the learning experience of our students is our main priority. We strive to continually give our students the opportunity to gain valuable learning and cultural experiences with students from other countries in safe and secure environments. We want to ensure that our students and families have the very best international experience possible and are not only satistfied, but overjoyed by the learning progress of each student.

One representative from each of our 14 schools in Europe was selected to be a Speaker for the event. At the TEDxYouth event, each student had the opportunity of delivering a 10 minute speech in front of a live audience on a topic that interested them and educated their audience. The topic was previously chosen and prepared by each student, each school’s TEDxYouth Coordinator, and the Organising Committee, and matched with the rules provided by TEDx.

At ISP Schools we are incredibly proud of our students´ dedication, commitment, and perseverance during the six-month preparation period. We are confident that the work of these individuals will be a source of inspiration for other young people from both ISP School and the world.

Information about the next event will be available soon.
