TEDx Youth, a world-renowned event where young people are the protagonists, was held for the first time in Jerez on 15th February, organized by El Altillo International School. The speakers were 12 young representatives from ISP Schools in Spain who, in short talks in English, shared their ideas and knowledge.
Thursday, 15th February, we celebrated TEDxEl Altillo International School Youth, a prestigious inspirational event in which 12 young students from ISP Schools in Spain shared their ideas and knowledge, and which took place in the Auditorium of the Cajasol Foundation.
Launched in 2009, TEDx is a programme of locally organised events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have been posted on TED.com and have received millions of views worldwide.
The event focuses on the power of ideas to change lives and ultimately the world. This philosophy is very much in line with ISP Schools’ transformative vision of learning and within the framework of the enriching International Learning Opportunities that ISP offers to all its students.
The 12 participants have gone through a demanding process of selection, preparation and rehearsal, including external professional training, as well as the assignment of a Support Coordinator at all times and several reviews of their talks in order to receive feedback from the organising committee and validate that they comply with the rigorous rules of TEDx.
El Altillo International School has the honour of hosting the most prepared and representative voices of the ISP education community to discuss relevant and important global issues, in what promises to be a source of inspiration and knowledge and the impact of these young voices in an ever-changing world where the power of curiosity and self-confidence are essential keys to the next generation of leaders.
For this event, El Altillo International School has counted on the collaboration of some of its trusted suppliers whom it would like to expressly thank for their support to the school: Fundación Cajasol, CampusPDI, Mallory, Vistalegre Solutions and Fredes Insa Escuela de Danza y Comedia Musical, who will offer a performance starring a group of students from El Altillo International School.
